BBC specializes in the field of pathology, histology, cytology and hematology. Whether clinical or research, our manufacturing process is tightly monitored and the chance of contamination is virtually eliminated. All lots are thoroughly tested, measured for pH, and filtered before packaging. Bulk stock on hand is kept to a minimum to provide only recently produced items to our customers. All R&D and quality control is headed up by Dr. James Biesecker. Dr. B, as he is known, was formally a chief pathologist with Dynacare and then LabCorp here in Washington State. He is now the senior pathologist and part owner of PathTech, LLC (formerly Skagit Valley Laboratories) in Mt. Vernon, Washington. He speaks regularly and is often requested to give workshops at state and regional histology meetings and the National Histology Convention. His talks vary from routine tissue processing and H&E staining to special and routine bone decalcification. He ensures that all of our products are developed and produced with the end result and the criteria needed for diagnosis in mind from a pathologist’s strict standpoint. If you would like any more information about Dr. B or our manufacturing process, please let us know and we will be more than happy to get that to you.
BBC only uses top quality components, processing, and quality control in the manufacturing of our products. The components that are used come from only trusted and proven suppliers such as Sigma Aldrich, Spectrum, Acros, and Borden. Our dehydrants (ethanol, isopropanol, and methanol) and clearants (xylene, toluene, and non-xylene clearants) are selected with the purity needed for the medical and research field and are received with certificates of analysis.
